Reporting a Child's Absence

As an agent of the State of Wisconsin, Superior's Board of Education and the SHS staff are obligated to enforce regular attendance on the part of SHS students. The SHS Spartan Student Handbook contains extensive information on attendance requirements, excused and unexcused absences, truancy, and other matters pertaining to student attendance.

If your child is going to be absent for all or part of a school day for any reason, you must report that fact to the proper school office in order to ensure that their absence is excused. If you call during non-school hours, you may leave a message on our voice mail system.
